About Spine Studios

Spine Studios is a two-chiropractor practice at The Gap in Brisbane's western suburbs, run by Dr Kristin Grace and Dr John Grace, who between them bring more than sixty-five years of clinical experience. The practice frames its work around helping people move better, feel better and return to work and life with confidence, and much of its caseload reflects that: chronic lower back and neck complaints, disc-related problems, and injuries picked up at work or on the field.

Dr Kristin Grace graduated from the National College of Chiropractic in the United States in 1989 and went on to complete a diagnostic imaging residency, being awarded the Diploma of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology in 1993. She has held academic appointments in the United States, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia over a career spanning three decades, and her clinical interests centre on chronic spinal conditions and the health of older adults. Dr John Grace graduated from Parker University in Dallas, Texas in 1994 and practised for many years in rural New Zealand before relocating to Queensland in mid-2022; he works mostly with chronic lower back and neck pain and disc problems. Both are members of the Australian Chiropractors Association and hold general registration with AHPRA.

The imaging background shapes how the practice works, with assessment and explanation given real weight before a treatment plan is set. Alongside hands-on adjusting and soft tissue work, the clinic offers spinal decompression therapy for disc-related pain and low level laser therapy.

A first visit, which covers the consultation, history, a comprehensive spinal examination, an explanation of the findings and a treatment plan, is $150, and the practice regularly advertises a discounted new-patient rate. No referral is required to attend, though eligible patients can use a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care referral from their GP for up to five visits a year. The clinic runs early mornings, evenings and Saturday mornings, with off-street parking around The Gap Village precinct.
