Dr Scott Lieschke

Dr Scott Lieschke graduated in 1986 from the Philip Institute of Technology, now part of RMIT, and has spent the decades since building a career that has taken in a number of well-established chiropractic practices around Australia. Before settling in Midland he worked extensively as a locum, at one point carrying a waiting list of up to six months. He is registered with the Chiropractic Board of Australia and is a member of the Australian Chiropractors Association.

He has been the principal chiropractor at Key Chiropractic — formerly Main Chiropractic — at 6 Victoria Street, Midland since 2003, and is the practice's sole practitioner, so every consultation is with him. Dr Lieschke is trained in most mainstream chiropractic techniques as well as a number of less common ones, and selects his method to suit the patient rather than the other way around. That might mean a hand-delivered adjustment, an activator instrument, or the light fingertip pressure he reserves for babies and young children. He sees patients across the whole age range, from infants through to older adults, and works with people presenting with back and neck pain, headaches and sports injuries.

Alongside clinical work, Dr Lieschke has been an active contributor to his profession in Western Australia. He served on the board of the Chiropractors Association of Australia (WA Branch), edited the association's PISIFORM magazine from 2002 to 2013, and speaks regularly at professional conferences and to university students. In 2013 he was named Chiropractor of the Year by the WA branch of the association. He continues to undertake ongoing education to keep pace with developments in the field.

Outside the practice he is a father of three with a long-standing interest in sport — AFL, basketball and cricket, and cycling since 2007 — and has chiropractic care himself each week. Consultation fees are set on a case-by-case basis and can be discussed by ringing the practice on (08) 9274 1471.
