The Adelaide Disc Center

The Adelaide Disc Center is a chiropractic practice at 668 Goodwood Road, Daw Park, with a particular clinical focus on persistent low back pain, disc-related conditions and sciatica. The practice is led by Dr Rod Weiland, a chiropractor registered with Ahpra (CHI0001396199) who has held general registration since 1991 and brings more than 35 years of clinical experience. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Chiropractic from Macquarie University.

Dr Weiland grew up in Ceduna, South Australia, and worked as a commercial fisherman on a deep-sea trawler before studying chiropractic. After graduating he established a practice at Castle Hill in New South Wales and grew it into a large multidisciplinary clinic staffed by chiropractors, physiotherapists and massage therapists. He has also worked extensively with Australian national sporting teams, touring overseas with the Australian U18, U20 and Men's ice hockey squads to training camps and world championships in Europe, and he completed advanced training in the United States in non-surgical spinal decompression.

What distinguishes the Daw Park practice is the way it combines traditional chiropractic care with non-surgical spinal decompression on a computer-controlled Hill DT table, taking a considered and individualised approach rather than a one-size-fits-all treatment model. Consultations are unrushed, the clinic runs strictly by appointment, and progress is formally reviewed throughout a course of care using symptoms, function and objective outcome measures.

Fees are published openly through the practice's online booking system: an initial chiropractic consultation is $95, an initial spinal decompression assessment is $95, and a regular chiropractic appointment is $65. The practice particularly welcomes people with persistent or recurring spinal problems who may have already tried other forms of care and are looking for a thorough assessment and a different approach.
